Home For Christmas Tour - Wells Cathedral

Published: December, 2017

Our choir was so delighted to be involved in the UK-wide Home for Christmas Tour, and to be singing in the beautiful and historic Wells Cathedral.  The event was extra special for us all as we joined with the choirs from Taunton and Lyneham - we were quite a group when we joined together for some of the Christmas carols.

All three choirs enjoyed the afternoon rhearsal as we had the chance tol isten to each other singing the songs we were performing as individual choirs.  As special as it was for the Yeovilton choir, it was perhaps extra special for the Lyneham Military Wives Choir as they had formed less than 12 months previously.  It was a lot of fun too having three choir masters, each taking to the rostrum to direct us, and our fabulous accompanist Ann Faulkner was as superb as ever!

Our audience seemed to enjoy the concert very much and on this occasion we and they were treated to the talents of Commander Alastair Haigh RN as he compered the evening and helped our event to run smoothly.
